A Brief Bio of Boops
I will try to make this a “brief” brief. As I could go on and on..and on! it started at a very young age. As a child I always wanted to be a fashion designer. So much so that I spent more time drawing in class than listening. It was even highlighted in my yearbook. I wanted to be a famous designer, but it wasn’t to be - yet. (But I am a savant with numbers).
I got married, had three boys and put my dreams in the background. As fate would have it my son Dan has aspirations of being a designer....unlike myself he did it. We opened a business and hit the “Big Apple” with his designs. It was tough going and we were a tad naive ,yet we sold up and down the eastern seaboard from Boston to Biscayne Blvd...from NYC to New Orleans. As successful as it was it was a more costly venture than we planned. Alas, Seventh Ave. then was not for us.
No, defeat was not a word in our vocabulary. It was more of a learning experience and sent us in another direction. So we hopped on the Pennsylvania Express and headed home.
Designing still was never far from my thoughts. But what? - then a call came from my son Chris in Chicago that changed everything for me. He had access to a friend who was selling her jewelry business supplies. Well, I thought it’s now or never.
During this period my son Mark had given me his first Mac computer and a book to learn. Completely self taught..it was learn how to use it or lose it. I had found the Internet... and it found me!! From there it was bigger and better Macs for me. I told Dan it was time for a Website. Having become very proficient selling items on eBay I taught myself even more about business on the Net.
I would be remiss not to mention the man who made this all possible - my husband Paul. The” my first dude” gave me a corner of his office to design and create my line of jewelry. That is pretty much my story. Remember that age and time should not be a hindrance to anything you might want to do. All is possible when you have a dream..follow it!

P.S. I hope you like my jewelry.. and I hope my story helps others to create their own stories.

Flapper............$275.00

Inca............$280.00

Pink Ice...This neckace lives up to it's name. Pale pink raw quartz. It is like water frozen into a gem. Sharing this space are beads of pale green, pale pink and black glass. It is dotted throughout with tumbled amethyst gemstones. Beautiful!

Seein' Red...Focal point statement piece. A jumble of black, vermilion and cat's eye glass beads and tumbled raw turquoise with green ceramic spacers. The main attraction of this event are the large pieces of apple coral. Magniicent!

Flapper..Reminescent of the 1920's. Young and swinging. A great blend of seafoam and gold glass beads interspersed with with glass tiger eye beads and focal point stones of carnelian. Fabulous!

Inca...Oh so ancient, Oh so modern. Fit for an Incan Princess. Black glass and tiger eye glass beads, tumbled deep blue turqoise tear drops. Pale polished pearl like turquoise centered by 2 large agate stones. Divine!

The Berries...So scrumptious you could just eat it up. A delicate yet bold blend of black glass beads tossed with berry red mottled glass beadsand smooth & faceted ocean jasper. Luscious!

Goin' Green...A salute to the organic! A staggeringly beautiful melange of vermillion glass beads surrounding tumbled amethyst with matte acid green and polished tumbled mokete. Breathtaking!

.....These are as much one of a kind art, as they are jewelry. So treat them accordingly. Many of these are natural or semi-natural state stones with all the irmperfections, fissures and occlusions. Theu are fragile, so do not drop them on a hard surface or lay them against hard surfaces. The necklaces are on a waxed and knotted beading cord. So do not twist and play with stone or you may fray the cord. Treat them well and they will serve you well. A beautiful frame for the real artwork..".A Beautiful Woman".
